Post-Conflict Research

There are many things that post conflict or war torn countries have on their plate. Some of these include restructuring their political system, new schools and educational establishments. It includes many social constructs that need to be remade as well.

Effects Of Post-Conflict

A Lot of countries do not just go through the standard transition from of war to peace. They may also go through other transitions such as centrally planned to market economy, non-religious to christianity and others. This would mean the priorities would be de-centralization,  missionary and evangelistic work, privatization and liberalization.

Basically it varies from country to country what should be prioritized due to their previous structure and factors of the war itself. To explain further that would mean how long the war has been going on, why was the war started and what was the outcome of the war.

It should be noted that some individuals and groups profit the longer a war goes on such as arms dealers, warlords and cartels. They would seek to reignite or keep the flames of war active to feed their own personal greed, and with a weak to virtually non-existent economy, lack of leadership and basic needs in some areas the conflict can easily start up again and in worst cases never stop. One example would be Afghanistan which for the past 70 years has been in a lot of wars.

The challenges of reconstruction in war torn societies

This means when designing this brand a universally recognizable icon or symbol could work. And then use a digital art piece too illustrate the sites content with an opening paragraph. Since its for the web it limits the type to screen only. So it will be interesting trying to choose the right font/typeface to compliment the piece on the web.

Some countries like Angola have managed to recover via natural resources such as Oil which counts for 90% of its exports; its not a smart idea but it is a starting point as the generated money can then be used to improve education and create jobs.

Religion seems to be one of the most focused on in these countries due to missionary work and all that. I definitely do not want to go down this route, its not applicable really, apart from that it is a symbol of hope.
